Well, I haven’t been good about blogging and I apologize. Like the title says, these are some crazy times. I am finding it hard to stay motivated and on track. When we first went on lockdown I was sewing up a storm. I quickly made up a kit sample using the new line of fabric called At Home by Bonnie and Camille. Perfect timing for that line to come out, right! I used Thimble Blossoms pattern Jelly Bean.
Camille loved this quilt and even featured it on her Instagram story. I have one kit left of it!
Next, I opened my PHD vault. Sounds impressive right? It’s what I call my Projects Half Done. Sounds smarter that way. I pulled out this quilt I started maybe 4 or 5 years ago. It’s called 9th Grade and it’s from the book Pre-cut Primer from Me and My Sister Designs. The fabric is Fig Tree’s line called Strawberry Field Revisited.
Then the e-mails, text, and phone calls started coming in asking if I would make masks. I didn’t feel right saying no, so I have been sewing masks almost daily. To say I am over it would be an understatement. All this mask making has killed my quilt-sewing MoJo. However, I always say something good comes out of something bad. I have a huge announcement to make May 6th. I am so excited I can’t shut my mind down. So if you see an Instagram comment from me time-stamped at 3 am you will know why. I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. God Bless
