Fun One to Make
We are at week 6 of the Prim and Proper Sew Along. This week's blocks were so fun to make!
These blocks were inspired by Cross Stitch. They will add so much to the quilt. I really enjoyed making these blocks and loved using all the different Shabby Fabric colors.
These blocks were super easy to make, you basically make a variation of a 9 patch and trim it down.
You will need a 3 1/2 inch ruler to trim the blocks down. Of all the different rulers I own, of course, I didn't have that size. I happened to mention to my husband that I didn't have the size ruler I needed and he came home from work that day with a 3 1/2" template that he made for me to use. How sweet is that! Of course, it worked but I didn't have the heart to tell him I already ordered a ruler.
Lori Holt's Cute Cuts ruler was just the tool I needed to get that perfect block every time.
I think I will be investing in several other sizes of these rulers, they have just the perfect markings to line up a block to square up or resize.
I hope you are sewing along and using the hashtag #primandporopersewalong so we can see your progress and be sure to stop by crosshatchquilts on Instagram today and enter the great giveaway sponsored by Fat Quarter Shop.
