Fun Photo Shoot

I have two new kits for sale!

I really wanted to catch the beauty of these two quilts, so yesterday I went to my friend Jacque's house to try and snap a few photos of the quilts. Besides the fact it was 110 outside, we took some really great pictures.

The kits are from the Windy City Pattern by A Bright Corner. This was a fun quilt to make and I have it available in two colorways.

The first kit was made with Lori Holt's Bee Cross Stitch fabric. I call this one the Rainbow Windy City.

Each kit comes with fabric for the quilt top and binding. The finished size is 44" by 55", however, the pattern has instructions for 4 sizes, and I will happily cut you a kit for a larger size.

The second kit is made with the fabric line Shabby's by Lori Holt, if you haven't yet worked with these they are solids with a brush effect giving them a beautiful rich look.

I am calling this one Sea Glass Windy City. It is just gorgeous!

These quilts are fun to make and go together pretty easily. I did use two tools that I feel are a must to have. Diagonal Seam Tape by Cluck Cluck Sew. This tape comes on a roll and is super easy to place on your machine base. You simply line up the red line with your needle and you have a perfect 1/4 inch seam on each side of your needle. You never have to take the time to mark a line for half-square triangles, flying geese, or bias binding.

The second tool, which I mention a lot is the Tucker Trimmer Ruler. This is one of my favorite tools.

What I love about this ruler is you can trim up to 11 different sizes, and several different type blocks! It is my go-to every time.

I also have Fat Quarter Bundles available of Bee Cross Stitch and Shabby.

Both the kits, Fat Quarter Bundles, and tools can be found in my Etsy Shop.

Big shout out to my friend Jacque, not only did she sew the Sea Glass Sample for me, but she also let me run all around her property taking pictures.
