Heading Up The Mountain
Today’s adventure with the Quilt Cart is a drive up the mountain. Tonight I will be visiting the Lonesome Valley Quilt Guild in Prescott Valley. It’s about an hour and 40 minute drive up the mountain. I’ll be making this trip with Charlene, she a good friend who has helped me with the trailer from the start. They call us Thelma and Louis, off on another adventure! I love visiting local Guild Chapters, it always amazes me how many wonderful talented quilters live in Arizona. Tonight I will be doing a trunk show for the ladies from the book Easy Layer Cake 2 by Me and My Sister Designs. These talented designers are kind enough to lend me all the quilts from their book. It’s so nice to be able to talk about and show the actual quilts that are published in the book.
It’s always an adventure taking the Quilt Cart on the road, I get a kick out of the people who honk and wave or give me a thumbs up. I even get people taking pictures. I’ve taken a tree branch out here and there, maybe hit a curb once or twice, gotten in a few parking jams but there is always a good Samaritan who has jumped in an saved the day. I love my adventures and my good friends who are always there to lend a hand, but most of all I love meeting new Quilting friends.
Do you belong to a quilt guild or sew group? SewBella's Quilt Cart would love to come out and visit you and your quilting friends.
