Sew Happy

This past Thursday our Sew Bee It Club met. This club is so dear to me, it is a wonderful group of ladies who share their love and passion for all things Lori Holt. We meet on the second Thursday of each month and we work on Lori Holt projects. It doesn't matter which Lori Holt project just something Lori has created.

There is so much creativity in this group, we really inspire each other and encourage each other. Sometimes too much, haha, my to-do list kept growing.

Here are just a few of the show and tells from our group.

Jacque shared this cute quilt with us, even though it's not Lori Holt she did use a Lori Holt label on the back.

She is also working on the last few blocks of her Spelling Bee quilt, how cute is this phone!

This was one of my projects, I found the pattern on Lori's Youtube page.

Lori made a pillow and a quilt on her Youtube channel but I made it into a cute table topper. The fabric is Lori's Prin line.

Next is a work in progress, another pattern found on Lori's Youtube, this is a great way to use up scraps.

I can't wait to see this finished, the solid color will make a secondary design throughout the quilt.

We are also working on a shop quilt, we each made a 12" flower block and Jacque made the letter blocks. We are deciding on our layout. I think we need just a few more flowers and we are ready to get it put together.

Do you love everything, Lori Holt? If so you are welcome to join our group. We meet the second Thursday of the month at Sweet PZ's Design Quilt Shop in Gilbert. We start at 9:30 and sew until 2:30. We have lots of laughs, door prizes, and usually some yummy snacks.

We are also hosting a Lori Holt inspired retreat. No, sadly Lori won't be joining us in person but I know she will be there in spirit. It will be three days of sewing, laughing, eating, and so much more. We have a make and take, games, door prizes, and even a little surprise.

Aren't you ready to get out of the house and be with people? The dates of the retreat are November 19 thru the 21st. It will start Thursday at 3:00, dinner will be served.

We meet up again on Friday at 9:30 and sew until 10:00 or 11:00 pm. Lunch and Dinner will be served. Saturday we meet up again at 9:30 and sew until 4:00. Lunch will be served. We will have plenty of drinks and snacks available.

We have taken precautions and have spaced the tables apart and have sanitized the shop. You are welcome to wear a mask or not, of course, it will be a no-judgment zone.

The cost of the retreat is $200. There are several hotels less than a mile away if you don't feel like driving home. Call Pam to reserve your spot 602-628-0845
