Such a Surprise!
Well, this past week was my birthday. I honestly wasn't planning on doing anything for my birthday this year because of the pandemic, however, my friends and family had something else in mind.
They surprised me with a birthday parade! They pulled up in front of my house honking their horns. Because It was 114 outside I insisted they come inside for a few minutes, of course with their masks on.
First off, just seeing my friends in person was such a gift. I am such a social person and I have missed seeing them and interacting with them. What came next really blew me away.
Charlene and Toni bought me an Accuquilt Go! I was shocked, what a gift!
I mean seriously, look at what they bought me.
This is such a thoughtful gift on so many levels. I have bad arthritis in my thumbs and there are days I can hardly cut fabric or hold a scissor. This is going to allow me to get my fabric cut without pain and it is also going to allow me to cut more kits.
Judy made me the cutest cupcake pincushion and she found an adorable trailer necklace.
Janyce and Dee bought me a Gift Certificate to one of my favorite restaurants and Jaynce made me this cute towel. Not only did she hand-stitch it but she also made a buttonhole for the first time.
Toni also made me this beautiful pincushion made out of wool.
Anna sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and Wally bought me a generous Gift Certificate to Accu-Cut.
I also got this gift a few days earlier from my kids, Jon and Amanda.
To say I am blessed is quite an understatement. I want to thank you all for making this birthday extra special.
I have already put my Accu-Cut Gift Certificate to good use and bought several dies for making kits. I will be sharing them with you once they arrive. Follow the link on my home page to Accu-Cut to see all the endless possibilities.
