The Days Of Many Hats

There are days I wear so many different hats I don’t know if I am coming or going.  Business owner, wife, Mom, daughter.

Don’t get me wrong, I love every title I have, but there are days when they all come at me at once!

It’s hard having a business where a large percentage of time you work from home. It’s easy to get distracted with household chores, like dishes in the sink or that dust bunny you see out side your sewing room door. Then your husband calls and says Oh yeah forget to tell you we are out of dog food, or your Dad stops by and want you to look something up on the internet.

Before you know it, the day is half over and you still have no idea what you are making for dinner and the sample you were going to finish is still not finished.

I have taken classes on scheduling my days, I have read blogs on it but these women must have super powers because the best planned out day seldom goes as planned. I have to admit I do plan days of getting out of the house and having lunch with friends, I find I need to do that for my sanity.

Now my tiny business is not changing the world by any means but it is the world to me so I am willing to change my hat throughout the day or even hour. I just have to find that happy medium.
