Why did I wait so long?
I want to share with you my Mother's Day present. Every year I don't ask for much because I don't want my children to spend their money. But this year I asked and I received!
I have needed a new sewing machine chair for quite a while now since my last one died a few years back. In the meantime, I just grabbed an office chair we had in the house. It didn't have much back support and it was on wheels. Twice I bent over to pick something up that I dropped and the chair flew out from beneath me. Talk about
"Help I've fallen and can't get up!"
The last years my lower back has been bothering me and I could only sew for a few hours before the pain was too much. I just thought I hurt it or was just age.
This year when the kids asked what I wanted for Mother's Day I said a new sewing machine chair. Their first thought was to get one from an office supply chain, but I explained I really wanted a good one and one used by quilters.
So the hunt began. It was hard because everything was closed due to the virus. So I asked my quilting buddies, read reviews, and found one I hoped would work.
Here it is!
They ended up getting me the Reliable SewErgo Ergonomic Task Chair. They found a good price and free shipping on Wayfair. I knew I wanted one with hydraulics, a wide seat base, no arms, and definitely no wheels. It swivels and has wonderful back support.
This chair is so comfortable and my back doesn't bother me at all!
So ladies, don't be like me: don't wait! Get a good chair your body will thank you!
Thank Jon, Amanda, and Wally. I love my Mother's Day Gift.
